The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is run by a team of experienced, dedicated professionals who have a wide range of knowledge and qualifications within the EYFS. The team is committed to helping the children achieve their maximum potential.
Mrs V Atkinson, Senior Nursery Practitioner with Early Years Professional Status
Veryan has been at OLA since 2005, and has considerable experience of working with children in the early years. She also works with the Local Authority as a support worker for other settings which need extra help.
Miss Abigail Quigley, Early Years Practitioner with CACHE Level 3 in Childcare and Education
Abby Quigley joined Mrs Atkinson in the Nursery class in September 2015. Abby has three years experience in Childcare and Education and she is a qualified level 3 practitioner. Abby's previous role was at Abingdon Kindergarten where she was a room manager. Abby helps in our after school care club and our holiday play scheme.
Mrs R Smales, Reception Teacher
Rachel has Qualified Teacher Status and is the teacher for Reception class. She is also the Learning Support Co-ordinator for the Junior School and mentors some of our students. She has recently been accredited with Forest School Leader Status and runs our Forest School settings for children from Nursery to Year 2. She has been with us since 2010.
